Workshop of forum and shadow theatre

What is masculine and feminine in our bodies? To what extent is this distinction biological or social?
If our bodies could freely move in a safe space, what would they say? What gestures and movements would they make?
Shadow theatre will allow to gradually discover the essence of our bodies and “highlight” desires and conditionings struggling in the shadows.
Theatre of the oppressed will offer us a safe and enjoyable framework to train ourselves on how to tackle these conflicts and unmask the conditionings.
The matched techniques will involve participants in an original and persuasive way, facilitating the research for concrete and creative solutions.
The workshops will be held on the weekends 9-10 and 23-24 October, in the urban laboratory “LABottega” of Conversano (Bari, Apulia), within the Gender Games project, coordinated by Venti di scambio association. At the end of the workshops the scenes created will be staged in the public theatre. The audience will be invited to transform the problematic images and creatively research how to free ourselves from gender stereotypes and build free and positive relationships.
