27th of february, theatre of the oppressed workshop with the African Workers hunted and chased from Rosarno, Calabria, at ex-Snia in Rome
This workshop aims to allow the African workers that collect fruits for everybody in the worst conditions, to express their situation, analyse it with theatrical tools and if possible to create a performance to sensitize and involve society on their situation. They are the first that have had the courage to refuse very violent exploitation in southern Italy. After their revolt, the government has sent them in Rome hoping they would become invisible but they are organizing very well, are supported, and know they have Rights.
8-12 febbraio formazione di teatro forum a Marsiglia con il “Réseau Santé Jeune” di la Ciotat
Questa formazione finanziata dal municipio di La Ciotat e dalla “Fondation de France” mira a radicare il teatro forum in la Ciotat, particolarmente per affrontare le questione di salute dei giovani. Operatori della città verranno implicati, ma anche giovani per creare uno spettacolo che possa coinvolgere diversi pubblici.
Dal 13 al 27 gennaio formazione di teatro dell’oppresso e creazione di scene in Ghana con RC
Questo progetto organizzato da “Ricerca e Cooperazione” e finanziato dal Ministero degli Affari Esteri sui “giovani e partecipazione sociale” ha per scopo di favorire la partecipazione di tutti e la cittadinanza attiva con strumenti di educazione non-formale per combattere l’esclusione. Verranno formati operatori sociali in un primo tempo, poi con loro e ragazzi di strada verrà creato uno spettacolo che possa sensibilizzare diversi pubblici alla situazione dei giovani che vivono per strada e coinvolgere più gente possibile nella ricerca di soluzioni. Il progetto è promosso da Ricerca e cooperazione
9-10 gennaio laboratorio creazione di scene su Giovani e lavoro per il congresso CGIL
Il progetto promosso dall’associazione Proteo Fare Sapere, finanziato dalla CGIL, ha per scopo metter in scena la situazione dei giovani nel mondo del lavoro oggi, affrontando i temi della precarietà, della divisione e dei diritti dei lavoratori. Lo spettacolo creato verrà presentato al congresso della CGIL che si terrà a Fiumicino in Marzo. Lo scopo è di permettere ai sindacalisti di diversi orizzonti di allenarsi ad affrontare i problemi di oggi e stimolare la ricerca collettiva di soluzioni, alternative attraverso le tecniche ludico teatrale del teatro dell’oppresso.

Questo laboratorio ha per scopo metter in scena i diversi rituali di natale per chiederci se non esiste un sistema oppressivo dietro. Lo scopo sarà quello di cercare insieme come possiamo affrontare sia la festa di natale che il sistema che veicola. From the 21st Oct. to the 1st of November?World Forum Theatre Festival in Austria.
Austrian groups of forum theatre organise an international festival where forum theatre groups from all over the world will meet. Participarte will be in Wien from the 23rd to the 27th and in Graz from the 27th to the 1st of November. Olivier will make a presentation of the participatory budget project held in Rome in 2008 with theatre of the oppressed tools on the 28th at 15.00. for more info see WFTF Graz.
The 21st of October in Città di Castello, forum theatre with youngsters about cooperation
This is the last part of a project led by ONG RC, Rome, aimed at triggering a reflection about the north south relation in schools. The forum play shows abuses of cooperation and thus asks what relation should be build with southern countries in general and with people from different cultures in particular.

The “Città dell’Utopia” with the support of the Region Lazio organizes a festival about our everyday life resistances. The Saturday will be dedicated to the natural disaster of modern life.
ECO is thus a play to search collectively how we can stop or limit the destruction of our own house: the Earth.
From 5th to 9th of October in Ostia Training for social workers, project led by ONGRC Rome
Part of a project happening in Italy, Ghana and Argentine, this training aims at providing social workers with tools to tackle exclusion, violence and racism. The 5 day workshop is residential and aims as well to create some plays about the participants meet in their life and/or work.

The goal of the workshop is to set on stage some Christmas related situations that participants are willing to change.
People will by the way discover the transformative potential of Open theatre.
It should also be a great occasion to have fun playing a ritual that has been evolving for 20 centuries.

The goal of this course is to develop the silent play that is so useful to act in chaotic situations and abroad.
Open course every Thursday from 19.30 to 20.30 with Adriano Braidotti.
Apertutto meets two social workers from Rio de Janeiro at the mime course the 27th of November
They are hosted by the association Diversamente who with the ARCI have organised exchanges between Italian and Brazilian social workers.
Sunday 23rd of November street performance workshop from 12.00 to 16.30 (lunch at 14.00)
A course in motion where scenes of mytho-theatre will be created using old stories and ancestral myths, known to everybody.
These stories will be integrated in nowadays life to find out what meaning they get: how would Cinderella’s life be today, to what party would she go, with what means of transport, what shoes…?
The goal of this training is to study how Street can be used, how to take advantage of Rome’s very diverse decors, the historical ones, but also the modern ones.
How to attract people and how to engage them…
The techniques used are quite simple, so whoever doesn’t fear cold wind can participate.
Participatory budget of Rome’s municipality IX with Tipus from Rome III University
In October and November Tipus has invited us to facilitate with them popular participation to the budget of the municipality with open theatre tools.
Through the process people will have to decide in what project they want municipality’s funds to go (social cultural urbanism and ambient related projects).
Two assembly sessions will happen in 4 different quarters, all at 18.00, in October.

Whoever is searching tools to trigger change in educational, social, political but also personal situations is very welcome. We will work with the tools on the themes that bother participants.
Scenes will be created to be hopefully presented in public events.
At the end of the training a first play will be acted, for us, or if participants are willing, for an audience.
